Stringfield has been together in some form for about 10 years; our current line up is a terrific bunch of folks that have a great time playing music together.

Gail Morrissey has been playing hammered dulcimer for over 12 years; she is the 2006 Southwest Regional Champion and has placed in the finals at Winfield.

Victoria Johnson has also been playing hammered dulcimer for over 12 years; she is the 2002 Southwest Regional Champion and the 2004 Oklahoma State Champion. She also plays mandolin, guitar and is learning the fiddle.

Barry Smith was the guitarist for the band and we feel very lucky to have had him; he has played in this area for many years and is known for his skill on the those six strings. Barry is on sabbatical and we are currently auditioning.

Our current bassist is Dennis McBride; we’ve known Dennis for many years and have been lucky enough to play with him in many different groups. Dennis, Gail and Victoria won 2nd place in the Southwest Regional Ensemble competition in 2002 as well as traveling to our Sister City in Japan to represent Springfield and play music for the folks there.
