We’re the Stringfield Band from the beautiful Ozarks. We play mostly Celtic and old time music and a pinch of originals.

Stringfield is a truly unique band and comes in many variations. Gail and Victoria form a hammered dulcimer duet. They have played at festivals, local events, weddings and have traveled to Japan to perform. They also perform as a member of the full band.

The band consists of Gail Morrissey on hammered dulcimer, Victoria Johnson on hammered dulcimer, mandolin, guitar and YES she’s learning the fiddle, and we are currently auditioning for a guitarist. Our friend Dennis McBride sits in on bass.

Victoria Johnson has won 1st place at the Oklahoma State Hammered Dulcimer contest and also the 2002 Southwest Regionals, Mt. View Arkansas. Gail Morrissey has also won 1st place in the 2006 Southwest Regional Hammered Dulcimer contest and placed at the National Contest at Winfield Kansas.
